About Brandon Lake

Brandon Lake

GRAMMY® winning artist Brandon Lake began his songwriting career as a worship leader at Seacoast Church in Charleston, South Carolina, where he met his future wife, Brittany, and grew up under the leadership of parents and pastoral staff who showed him the value of praising God as a church body. He achieved his biggest dream at sixteen, when he led worship in “big church” for the first time, and his career hasn’t stopped since then!

With the support of family and friends, Lake released his first studio album independently in 2016. He then signed with Bethel Music in 2019 and co-wrote “This Is A Move,” with Tasha Cobbs Leonard, which went on to win a GMA Dove Award for song of the year.

As Lake’s influence grew, he went on to work with Brook Ligertwood, Phil Wickham, Cody Carnes, Elevation Worship and more, solidifying his reputation as a collaborative worship leader who cares deeply both about the craft of incredible music and the intention behind creating a sincere atmosphere of adoration for the One who makes it all possible.

From 2020 to 2024, Lake released one traditional studio album per year, with additional EPs and two live albums. His prolific body of work includes the beloved anthems “Praise,” “Gratitude,” “Count ‘Em,” “Praise You Anywhere” and “That’s Who I Praise.”

In 2025, Lake released a remix of his hit song “Hard Fought Hallelujah” featuring mainstream rapper Jelly Roll. This remix crossed the divide between worship music and hip-hop genres, bringing a new generation of fans into the Christian music sphere.

During the previous year, Lake and five other Christian artists formed Sons of Sunday, a worship collective focused on developing an energetic worship sound with gospel-style influences woven into the music. Their eponymous first album was released in May 2025.

Lake’s newest album, “King of Hearts,” was released under Provident Label Group on June 13, 2025. He will headline a tour of the same name through the summer and into 2026.
